i got this for my 11th birthday, and due to no internet or overly knowledgeable friends had no idea that ww link starts his journey on his birthday. it was a pretty crazy feeling. the leadup to me being able to get my hands on a copy was memorable too- there was a zelda collection that had a windwaker demo that let you try out an early part of dragon roost dungeon and the ''get your sword back'' part of sneaking around forsaken fortress. i remember being blown away at how different the game felt, because at that time i had never seen a game that looked like this. i specifically remember that the ui and targeting commands, along with no longer having to z target to center the camera making all the difference in the world. i was never able to get a hold of a copy of ocarina, but i had spent the last however many years engrossed in majoras mask and had gotten accustomed to how that game ran and the targeting worked. the change in how fluid the targeting and on screen ui were so foreign feeling at first, and its kinda nuts to think that now it feels dated by modern standards. you gave us a lot of good memories windwaker. im sure MP is going to do great things with you:]
